You know what, tinde is one of the worst vegetable considered at my home.. my family stares at me when I buy the decent and sober tinde… Inspired by Chef Vikas Khanna who served me a Paneer Stuffed Tinda at the Saffola Masala Oats event, I decided to mix it up with my favorite chicken.. My wife a vegetarian was happy, she was not a part of my experiment now.. LOL.. but the dish turned out to be real yumm..
Switching through the channels one weekend, was so bored with nothing coming up really good; when suddenly saw Sanjeev Kapoor showing up something on the Food Food Channel.. Saw him scraping the tomatoes.. was like not again.. looks like potato stuffed tomatoes which my mom used to generally make.. but this was different… He stuffed paneer and also used jalapenos.. wow.. something new to try.. Was now sticking to the show.. LOL.. and here is the output.. easy.. tangy.. spicy and yummy Paneer Stuffed Spicy Tomato!!
Not much new to me, my wife; keeps on giving challenges to me. This time, there we not much except green chilies, lemon and panchratna dal and she wanted to have something yummy. My kid looked at me with confused eyes and so did I. Had never cooked the panchratna dal and did not really want to make it a traditional one like the Dhaba Dal Fry. Took a look in the refrigerator and LOL that was all empty; 1 lemon and 2 green chilies and they were near the chopping board already. But, after all had to make something good so tried out for a dish. Was sure my kid would love it though. Do try this out at home, I hope you love this too !!
The last few days in Germany, we saved our raw material from the first day, just to avoid buying stuffs at the end.. and LOL Prashant and me we stuck up finishing up the stuff filling our tummies in the last few days of the stay. One such day resulted in an instant savior, Instant Lehsun ki Chutney… invented by Prashant. Well for me, was a bit boozed up; but yet the flavors looked yummy to me. Just eating onion pakoras was like.. okay.. we are eating it.. but the chutney just fired up the spirit !! Thanks a ton Prashant for the yummy Instant Lehsun ki Chutney.. bloody getting nostralgic remembering those old days..
Cheesy Broccoli Pasta is a yummy dish, ready in a few minutes. My family was longing to have pasta, and preferably the cheesy pasta and needed one broccoli dish too. However, I really was not in a mood of cooking that day.. but after all the wife is always right.. LOL.. so on a mutual agreement of she helping me out to cook the dish and take the risk of a new dish, started with broccoli and cheese..and pasta ofcourse..
Cheesy Egg Salad… a story behind it.. was not well.. struggling with the black screens of Unix in Germany and hungry too.. The easiest thing was to eat bread with butter; but for no reason I do not like it.. wanted something veggie and eggs with it.. The easiest was to cook something instantly.. already had picked up the eggs from the refrigerator and placed them on the kitchen platform.. was thinking of what to mix it up with.. Looking down at the vegetable section, saw a lone broccoli sad and alone.. picked it up with some garlic and here came the dish ready to be cooked.
Independence is not cheap, it costs a lot.. lives of many many people, who have selflessly laid down their lives for the free lives we live today.. A small tribute to the matyrs who laid down their lives for our better future.. Celebrating the 67th Independence of India today was so special… Invented a new dessert Jashn-e-Azaad today with three classics together giving the colors of the national flag I love the most…
Hmmm.. so tired after whole days work.. the black screens they killed me today.. wanna have some thing easy to cook. Sipping tea on the chair watching rains outside, just came through my mind about broccoli going good with garlic. Wanted to make this a full meal so it need to be heavy, what about adding the cheese to it.. slurrppp..
